Four years on since the launch of the performance footwear business in our family heritage sport of cricket, we’re changing the game for a new audience.

We believe in marginal gains, but also in giant strides. We want to bring our Performance Multiplied innovation ethos to other sports by fusing together two contrasting elements, to achieve performance excellence and to give athletes of all abilities greater enjoyment of the game they love, from the ground up.

Launching in March 2021, the PAYNTR brand will take its first steps into the golf industry. Founder David Paynter - a former professional cricketer who spearheaded the business in his native sport - teamed up with golf footwear innovation specialist Mike Forsey, who has more than 30 years’ footwear design experience behind him, working with elite athletes at Nike, FootJoy and Under Armour on some of the most iconic footwear products ever to have come to market.

These two passionate footwear pioneers first put their heads together in April 2019 and identified a potential innovation void in the industry that sparked Forsey into designing the first prototype of the shoe. Nearly two years later, the PAYNTR X 001 F golf shoe will come to market globally on March 1, 2021.

The PAYNTR brand will always have its roots in cricket, thanks in part to David’s Great Grandfather Eddie who played a starring role in the iconic Bodyline Ashes tour of Australia in 1932/33. Refusing to be downed by a severe bout of tonsilitis, Eddie climbed off a Brisbane hospital bed and helped England to victory, hitting the winning runs in the process.

After his own retirement from the sport he loved, David went about righting the wrongs of performance footwear for cricketers, creating the PAYNTR X that truly disrupted the established order. But the Performance Multiplied philosophy runs deeper than just cricket.
